Eastvold Custom Woodworks is committed to seeking out new ways to lessen our impact on the planet through our business practices. While our mission of creating high-quality, custom cabinetry and furniture will remain unchanged, we will continue to explore ways to be more environmentally and socially responsible.
We think about the obvious things like the materials we use, but we also think about things like the air quality in our shop, recycling, and even the coffee we drink.
We use ethically harvested lumber in the construction of our cabinetry and furniture, which helps sustain our forests. We use formaldehyde free plywood for all of our cabinet boxes, which is better for our employees, for our customers, and for the planet. We also incorporate wood alternatives, such as bamboo, wheat board, or 100% recycled particleboard into the construction of our cabinetry and furniture, which protects our natural resources. We know that there are big and small things we can do each day to lessen our impact on the earth and the people that inhabit it.
From something as small as a packing peanut (which we bring to our local shipping store to be reused), to something as big as saving the rainforests (we only use exotic woods and veneers that are ethically harvested or reclaimed). Each of these things, no matter how big or small makes a difference.
